OH BUT BY THE STILL-WARM HEARTBROKEN CORPSE OF PADME AMIDALA IS THIS A WONDERFUL THING.

My entry for the 2012 Empire ‘Done In 60 Seconds’ competition - The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy.

I thought it’d be fun to recreate the scene from Jedi where C3PO tells his campfire story on Endor, but with a prequel twist. Ewoks are a tough crowd.

mrwhaite: Tom Hanks recently hinted that Pixar may be developing Toy Story 4 - but what exactly will that story be? Here’s my idea…Woody and the gang are flying off on vacation when the plane crashes in the middle of the Pacific. Seperated from his friends, our cowboy hero washes up on a desert island where he meets a grumpy old volleyball called Wilson (voiced by Jeff Bridges) What follows is an Odd Couple style buddy movie as Wilson teaches Woody how to survive as a castaway toy.Eventually the suitcase containing the rest of the toys washes up on the shore and they all have a great big beach party. Wilson bounces off into the sunset with the cute little ball from Luxo Jr. Credits. A T-shirt of this artwork is available for a limited time - http://www.redbubble.com/products/configure/7396347-t-shirt This is amazing. LOOK AT THOSE STITCHED KNEE JOINTS. And creepy. Delightfully so. And I’m thinking that if all the toys are stuck on an island, you’d pretty much have to go ahead and mark Mr. Potatohead as the first one to be eaten.

I’ve adored every one of these made by mrwhaite. They’re really inspired and wonderful. mrwhaite: A neon poster for Jurassic Park - you’ll have to provide your own sound effects. It would’ve been fun to animate a neon T-rex for this poster, but Spielberg does such a great job of building up the tension before he’s revealed - the classic cup scene seemed like a more appropriate image. Besides, for The Lost World poster I get to animate 2 T-rexes pulling a man apart. Cool!
