May 9, 2013 - I like to take Jack’s piano teacher treats whenever I can. She is a real firecracker…

Here are the reasons - although not all of the reasons - why you should click over to my wife’s Tumblr and start following her immediately:

  • She posts amazing pictures of baked goods
  • THAT SHE MADE WITH HER OWN TWO PERFECT HANDS
  • It’s Mother’s Day weekend and she posted these cute little Mother’s Day cupcakes and she’s my kids’ mom and they are awesome and she’s really the most amazing person alive
  • She tells great stories about how and why she bakes what she does and what it means in the greater context of life, the universe and everything
  • My oldest son has started taking pictures for her site and he’s absurdly good at it
  • She will not let me go out to the movies anymore until her followers increase at the rate of 15% weekly

Please. Won’t you just think about the movies? How am I going to get to the movies unless you help?

Pittsburgh: The Movie

WOW. This is a pretty terrific Pittsburgh supercut. If our local film office hasn’t contacted f***yeahtheburgh yet for editing services, they should.

"I think you have to go into it and say, ‘is this character essential to the story or are you just throwing him in for no reason whatsoever’? We would never, ever, ever dare to do anything other than what felt like it was organic to the flow of the story."

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 co-writer Alex Kurtzman, on how to avoid a superhero sequel’s tendency to jam-pack the narrative with too many villains just because it’s fun and because the comic book movie producers want you to.

…and so says every screenwriter, ever, on how to avoid a superhero sequel’s tendency to jam-pack the narrative with too many villains.

I’ve done this.
But I already had the hat.
So that kind of set things in motion.
